Just gotta say thanks for upping this. Sounds great. I've seen The Booty Band SEVERAL times. Very kind people. Fun to hang out with fo sho!! Everybody's calling it funk. they are the new definition of funk. Just call it bounce. Download it and listen.

Subject: Great to Hear.
It's great to hear the Booty Band once again. My girl and I used to live in Johnson City, TN. The Booty Band played at The Sophisticated Otter and we had an after party. The Booty Band came over and partied with us and crashed at our crib....Josh, do you remember. It was a good time. Matt and Angie are our names. We now live in Chicago, and haven't gotten to see the band since so it's great to hear you guys again!!!!

Once, again... thank you everybody for your interest in our band... taping us at the shows and listening to us at your house. We hope to continue seeing you guys out. The thing I love most about the Booty Band is that the shows are very dependent on the energy shared between everybody involved, and we thank you guys for bringing the good vibes out when you dance and share with us. I saw YMBFBB new years jan 1 2005 it was so weird to randomly see it on Archive.org. I actually got up on stage and played didgeridoo with them! They are cool guys, I used to work with one of them and went to school with another. Anyway, <3 the music peace

Subject: Pleasently suprised funky / freestyle / toe-tapping tunes!
I had never heard of this band, but based on it's hilarious name and that it was a staff pick (and that it had the streaming option) I gave it a listen while I did some other stuff on the computer ... Funky. freestyle vocalist. lots of horns. very 'stereo' sounding recording. great presence. I feel like i'm standing on stage with the band while listening to this recording. The freestyle rapping with heavy horns and a good bass-line and simple guitar rythums reminds me some of the early 80's 'clean' rap from people like DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince (Will Smith). The genre goes from that to just straight ahead 'ska' / dancehall groove. A definate amazing quality recording of a really fun dancible band. I love it so much i'm actually going to download the show tonight and put it on during my bbq tomorrow. it's going to be perfect blasting from my speakers at 2pm in the san diego spring sunshine. awesome!

I checked this show out because it was a staff pick and you can't beat the name of the band. Very Funky and upbeat. good to groove to!!!
